Digby’s trick of the week

We’re starting a new thing… it’s called, well, “Digby’s trick of the week” πŸ™‚

As if Digby isn’t enough like our “child” as is, we’ve decided to teach him new tricks just to add to the excitement.
This week, Digby has learned how to crawl. (I think some of my motherly instincts were kicking in as I wrote that.) One day, probably a few years from now, I’ll be writing on this blog how our little child is learning to crawl…. one day πŸ™‚
Today though, I’m sharing a video of the newest trick that our very own Digby (also affectionately known as: Dig, Dig-a-boo, etc) has learned.
Everyone should know that Justin has single-handedly taught Digby this new trick. He’s so great at training Digby and commanding his attention. Justin is the “alpha dog” and Digby follows him around like a little pup πŸ˜‰ I’ll admit, he’s more attentive to Digby’s needs than I am (although I’m getting much more used to having something else – besides myself – to take care of. Those college days of rolling out of bed are pretty much over… Digby gets part of the morning attention πŸ˜‰ ) Justin more attentively feeds Dig, picks up his poop, brushes his teeth, brushes his hair, etc. However, as Justin likes to say, “I’m better at ‘lovin’ on him.'” Oh hun, I love your words πŸ™‚
Check back next weekend to see what Digby’s next trick is!
**Also, we could use a little help coming up with ideas… We don’t get a newspaper, so he can’t learn that. And we don’t really drink beer, so there’s nothing for him to fetch from the ‘fridge. πŸ˜‰ Other ideas are welcome though!

  1. ha ha!… Excellent :)…. and I agree. Once you have a dog, there's rarely days where they listen to you when you say, "C'mon, just a few more minutes! Go to sleep for just a few more minutes!"
