Fourth of July weekend in Elkhart

Kime Brothers

This past weekend we got to spend four days up in Elkhart visiting with Justin’s family. Justin’s parents have a pool, so it’s quite the “vacation” when we go up there to visit – and not to mention that Digby loves swimming in the pool!

Wonderful friends of ours just had their first baby last Thursday morning, so we had the joy of getting to see her this weekend! We started off the weekend in Elkhart with a visit to the hospital to see how our friends were doing and meet their little girl. Here are a few pics from Friday. (Please pardon the lighting – I’m still working on good indoor pics WITHOUT the flash!)

Little Audrey Lane [6lb 6oz. – 19.5in long]

And then it was…

The guys were playing a game of water polo – and as you can see, Digby was anxious to join in… or get the ball they were playing with (one of the two πŸ™‚ )

A fun picture of Digby shaking off, and another of him diving in – I think he spent more time diving in than shaking off!

Who doesn’t love a good flower picture?

Sometimes we call Digby “King Tut” πŸ™‚ Digby says, “Thanks, Nick, for pushing me around!”

The guys all playing golf on Sunday…

The brothers after a day of golf… (I love the progression of these!)

The girls talking…

….while the guys were shootin’ hoops

Some of the guys… I love this one πŸ™‚

That concludes this post for today. I’ll post more pictures tomorrow from Monday. It was a picture-packed weekend – full of wonderful friends and great memories! I think the biggest 4th of July memory of 2011 was the arrival of Audrey Lane – who arrived two weeks earlier than expected. SO thankful that mom and baby are both healthy and happy!
