Six months ago, Justin’s younger brother, Corey, married the most energetic, fun-loving, intelligent girl I know: Brittany. Their wedding was in Rochester Hills, MI in late December. Brit and her mom planned such a beautiful wedding – it was one of those weddings that “just fit” the bride and groom’s personalities. Know what I mean? Those are the best!
To me, their wedding isn’t marked or remembered as a single day. It’s remembered as days worth of fun memories, new friends, new family and new places. When I think about the days leading up to their wedding, all I can do is smile… and try to do those memories justice in writing about them.
Justin and I were both honored to be in the wedding: Justin the best man and I as a bridesmaid. The days leading up to the wedding, Justin hung out with Corey and the groomsmen a lot in Elkhart and I drove up to Rochester Hills with my mother-in-law to hang out with Brit and her friends/family before their big day. We had fun with Brit’s bachelorette party, as well as enjoying manicures, spray tans, you name it! What a gift that time with family was.
Here are a few of my favorites leading up to the wedding:
Please don’t mind the lighting / slow shutter on some of these pictures. Disclaimer: we had just gotten our new camera a couple of weeks prior to this, so, needlesstosay, I needed some practice.
Everything from putting together the wedding programs, to manicures, to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner was all a blast. We enjoyed every moment of it. And, of course, it was great to see out of town family again, too!
On to the morning of the wedding with the girls:
Congratulations, Corey and Brittany! We are so thankful to call you family and cannot wait to see how God continues to strengthen your relationship and love for each other. We love you!
